In July, my wife began training for the 1/2 marathon in Houston this coming January (this is just over 13 miles).
I thought to myself, ‘Heck, I will do this with her as a show of support!’
Little did I know, but I was out of shape in a very bad way… whew, that first 3 mile run was rough!
Through persistent training 4 days per week, I’m now able to run 7 miles with no problem at all.
But why should you even care about this?
Because something happened this morning that has made running important.
A lady that works for me sent an email asking if my wife and I would run a 5k in early November for ‘Addi’s Faith Foundation’.
Since we are just getting into this running ‘thing’, we both thought it would be fun.
And about that moment, I decided to look into the foundation that we were going to be running for.
It’s a foundation setup to support the ending of cancer in children.
Addi passed away at the age of 2 from a terrible brain tumor in 2007. Her mother has taken the grief caused by this tragedy and focused it on helping others.
As a father of 2 boys (5 and 2), this hit a cord in me.
I can’t imagine losing one of my son’s to cancer (or anything for that matter).
This connection has given me a very strong motivation to help out and raise funds for this foundation.
My goal is to raise 20k for them.
I am reaching out to you for help in this.
If you can spare $5 or $500, please do so. If you are a parent like me, then this may be all that more personal to you.
The page I’ve setup for donations is at:
http://www.active.com/donate/walkbyfaith/affiliateradio
I know a lot of people are looking for motivation to take action, so here’s my motivation for you to donate…
If you donate, you can ask me any question you want about Affiliate Marketing. I will take the series of articles I’m currently writing along with these questions with answers and send this out to you.
You will be the only people with this DVD. It won’t be for sale and it will aim to directly help you by providing a clear cut system for you to follow AND answer questions you may have about any aspect of affiliate marketing (niche selection, keyword selection, technology, content, links, conversion, whatever).
All you have to do is donate SOMETHING.
If you do, just post your affiliate questions and a mailing address in the comment section of this post. These comments will not be made public and will be for my own use. They will be deleted once I add your question and address to a spreadsheet I’m keeping for this.
Thank you.
Ok, my next post will cover niche and keyword selection.

I knew right from the beginning that “Woody Maxim” is one big lie.
Liars certainly do not get any support whatsoever.
Does this lady even exist? Put up some pictures.

Martin,
It’s sad that you feel this way, but it’s understandable.
Some people were able to see the info published on the Woody Maxim blog as very helpful, and some just couldn’t get past the fact that it was a pen name (even though the story was 100% true).
I suppose those are the same people that can’t read John Grisham books (or any books by famous authors) for that matter… or watch movies for that matter as most actor names aren’t their real ones.
But I digress…
Anyway, here’s a link to the fundraiser http://www.walkbyfaith5k.org/index.htm.
I do think that it’s very sad that you question good deeds, but some people do that.

Keith,
I decided to set myself a challenge for Addi’s Faith Foundation also
as I was touched by Addi’s story.
I am going to subscribe to your Traffic and Leads training/coaching
& strive for the refund, I am going to get from your commissions,
to donate to Addi’s Faith Foundation.
Hope I could do it before X-mas.

Keith, here are a couple of questions, but I think they are related…. So far I have hired two employees in the Philippines: a blog builder and a link builder (for lack of a better name—she’ll be doing lots of stuff). For the time being I am having content written by a service. As I train these guys on specific tasks I am also working on developing processes for moving particular projects along and for keeping track of what has been completed and what needs to be done next and in the future. I’d appreciate any advice you can give on how to set things up and any specifics you can share on a system for tracking these things—such as spreadsheets, online project management, customized solutions, etc.
On a related note, I’d also like to hear if you have any suggestions on automated WP installation. Installing a blog and plugins, optimizing the plug-ins, setting up the theme, etc. is easy, but it takes a lot of time. Yes, I have an employee in the Philippines who can do it for me, but once I get my standard installation down pat it would be great to be able to mass produce them, right down to optimizing plug-ins, setting up theme options, installing ads, etc. I think you have a custom programmed solution, but are you aware of any off the shelf options out there? I saw your testimonial on the Blogging Master sales page…do you still recommend that product? Does it even do what I am talking about? If the best option is to have a custom system developed, do you have any advice on how to describe such a system in a rent a coder type listing?
Whew!!!! That was a long one. There are actually several questions in there, but I think they are all on the same broad topic….. maybe? ☺ Anyway, any info you can share will be appreciated. Thanks!
