Today is Veteran’s Day here in the United States.
It’s a day that we honor those that are willing to die or have died for this country.
It’s a day that veteran’s such as myself reach out to others who serve and say thanks.
It’s a day that you should reach out and say thanks.
It’s a day of rememberence and reflection as to why we enjoy the freedom’s that we do.
For the most part, the military is the only way for many people to pull themselves out of a bad situation and better their lives.
In the process, they discover responsibility and pride.
This pride is what makes our military GREAT and it’s this pride that will allow it to remain great.
No matter what’s going on in the world, no matter how thin our troops are stretched, this pride remains.
GOD BLESS our troops.
It’s nice to run this blog and have the freedom to express MY pride in the men and woman of the United States Armed Forces.

Amen to that! So glad to see some honor on this special day. This post should have more comments from readers.

Right on Keith! I’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks and just catching up on the activity on one of my favorite sites (AR) and found this post. At a time when the current Commander in Chief is stating that our veterans should bear the financial burdens of their war injuries themselves, well, we the American people owe it to them to let them know how much we appreciate them. It confounds me how so many people today fail to understand that the freedoms they often take for granted were purchased in the sacrifice and blood of our veterans. Let us not forget – long live the patriots…
