WP Mage – My Thoughts

by Keith Baxter on November 23, 2009

I’ve received a few emails from folks wondering what my thoughts were on the WP Mage system launching tonight at 8pm EST.

In a nutshell, I like it.

But not ‘out of the box’.

Here’s what I like about it:

- Fast site building

- VERY easy to use

- Combines the use of Adsense, Amazon, Ebay, Overstock, CJ, and Clickbank promotions in a nice way.

- Takes what you could do with Caffeinated Content and PhpBay to a whole new level.

- If using their installer (Master Mage) provides a nice management system.

- The blueprint provided is pretty good and is similar to one of my own strategies.

Here’s what I don’t like about it:

- The blog configuration scores a 4 out of 10 in my book.

- If using the installer, you are limited on themes and plugins out of the box. The installer won’t let you add either to it.

If you are building out 20 sites per day, then it’s easy to look past these drawbacks.

I sent out a mailing to my Now Publishing LLC list on Saturday that I will copy here for you (if you buy through my affiliate link, then I will bonus you a hotsheet that addresses the biggest problem I found with WP Mage).

Message begins here:

As I’m sure you probably already know, I’m an automation
freak.

If it can’t be done big, fast, and for significant profit…
then I’m not interested.

The big problem with automation, however, is that you
typically give up quality for speed, and 99% of the ’systems’
I’ve come across over the years have been total crap.

Then last week my partner Don called me up and said he
had found something that I had to see.

http://www.wpmage.com/mage/4b02cc110f934/cdae6df2

When I first saw it and started messing around with it, I
thought, “Same Old…same old”…

Then when I got deeper into it, I knew I had something
pretty amazing in my hands.

The term “Push Button” gets thrown around way to much
in this industry, and I’m sure you’ll agree, most of the
time means squat.

This time however, I can’t think of any phrase more
appropriate.

With a couple minutes setup time, you can literally push
a button and have a 3000 page blog, fully optimized, monetized,
and online in any niche you want.

A site that looks decent.

The guy that built this thing is a 32 year old guy that
lives in Thailand, named Greg Jacobs, that frankly I had
never heard of before last week.

He built this system for himself and has made a killing,
simply cranking out sites by the hundreds…or thousands..
that make anywhere from a few bucks a month, to a few thousand
bucks a month.

Money from Adsense, Amazon, Commission Junction, Overstock.com,
and Ebay…

And he doesn’t do any promotion on these sites.

None, whatsoever!

He just builds them and they ’self promote’ due to the
massive amount of quality content on each site.

So no link building, article submissions, bookmarking, etc.

It’s about as easy as it gets.

He’s diagramed his whole process in a 40 page blueprint,
and 7 part video training course that he’s giving away for
f*r*e*e. Plus, he’s also offering a 60day no-money trial on
all the automation tools he uses with the system.

I’ve posted the link below…

If you like what you see, he’s also opening up his top level
‘master’ system on Monday morning to a handfull of people,
and I can guarantee you…the window of opportunity on this
will be small.

But here’s the kicker.

Yes, I am totally sold on this system.

But…

I quickly realized it could be even better, and over the past
few days…

I’ve figured out a way to make it at least 10 times more
powerful (no joke).

My programmer and I put our heads together and made a few
very important modifications to Greg’s system. Modifications
that will make these sites dominate the rankings.

I’ve already cranked out 500 new sites with this new pimped
out version of the system and all I can say is… WOW!

Don and I believe that making a minimum of $1/day per site
with this is going to be a total joke, and are dedicating
some serious time and resources to this (we just purchased
700 more domains).

If you decide to get the ‘Master’ system on Monday morning,
you’ll also get access to a hotsheet with the tweaks we have
made to the system (from internal blog tweaks to a killer
link getting system).

I can promise you, you will be in a totally different league
that every other user of this system.

So go grab the blueprint pdf, and watch the training videos
and let me know what you think…

Take care,

Keith

Hi Keith

I´ve matched all their vids and tried some of the tools they offer. And it looks good…it always does. So question is of course what do you plan to add to the mix they have. What exactly can be added (linkbuilding strategy my guess?) and how will you add it? Additional instructions, program, plugs, etc.?

Also what´s the major differences between this and STS?

Thanks

/Henrik

Hi Keith,

I replied to your email on Saturday. I already purchase the last release he had. So, can I purchase your enhancements? I’m a previous purchaser of your stuff. :)

Hope there’s a way to do this. Thanks!
Mark

Dang. I bought CPMage 2 weeks ago and am starting to put up sites.
Anyway I can get access to the tweaks? I have purchased several of your other products by the way.
Thanks,
David

Hi Keith,

I picked up a copy of it from your email on Saturday. I think it’s brilliant and has to be one of the simplest things I’ve seen that actually works.

I already picked up a few domains and it looks like it’ll be a breeze to make this work.

Let me know how to get the hotsheet you’ve mentioned.

Thanks,

Vitaly

Hi Keith

Real interesting reading about your comments relating to wpmage.

As a regular customer of yours and someone who bought in on the pre release of wpmage, I have a genuine request:

Would you consider supplying me with the hot sheet that you intend to offer all who buy wpmage through your affiliate link?

Of course I realise that its only fair I pay a fair $ for this information.

So, consider my request and if you need proof of me being a regular customer I will do my best to supply it.

Hope you can set a fair price as I have the software installed and not started to use it as yet. I will wait for a reply from you before I start to use wpmage. No matter whether positive or If I ask to much.

Thanks Steve

ps no matter your reply I will continue on your list and show genuine interest in any of your future products

Keith. How will Google look at a site that suddenly appears with 3000 posts of content for lots of keywords. I thought that sites should look and grow naturally giving the viewer a good experience. Are potential buyers of goods going to buy here or move on to more authoritative sites, for a better experience.

Hi Keith,

I already spotted this beauty about 3 weeks ago and bought it. Any chance to
buy your hotsheet with tweaks straight from you without buying Mage a second time?

Thanks,

WP

Keith,

Greg Jacob’s strategy is to rely on the historical backlinks and page rank attaching to some expired domains for his initial SEO. But it’s no stretch to imagine that the pool of suitable of expired domains will come under pressure from all the new Mage owners when this thing launches.

I’m keen on this, but I’m looking for some more detail on your backlinks bonus to get me over the line.

Thnx in anticipation.

Hi Keith,

I was wondering if you are willing to sell your blueprint to other WPmage users – I purchased wordpress mage on an “early bird special” from another affiliate but would love to have your blueprint and would be willing to pay for it.

Thanks- donna

Hey Keith!

I too bought the Mage in an earlier launch and already have dozens of sites up and running. So I really can’t cancel my membership and re-buy through your link.

But I DEFINITELY would pay you outright for your bonus. I’ve been a loyal customer of yours for years and only wish I would have seen your affiliate promotion for the mage earlier.

Would you consider selling your bonus package outright??

Thanks for everything you do!

Hi Keith,

Like some other Baxter members, I bought a copy of Mage long before your offer. But I would be very interested in paying for your Mage bonus.

Kindly let me know if that would be possible.

Thanks for your consideration.

So what is this new pimped version Keith that makes WPMage better? I already own it as a Master Mage and it works quite well.

Also the Master install can be customized with adding/deleting any theme or plugin.
It just needs to be unzipped with Zip7 and then customize it.

Been a Master Mage for 6 weeks – yes it rocks, and yes, there is room for some big tweaking. Would be interested in purchasing the add-on optimisation.

Hi Keith
Had the mage for a couple of months and it’s starting to work, would really be interested in your tweaks. I use thesis on most sites because as you say it is clean.
I have just signed up to your blog and like your stuff so if there is anyway you can see to sharing your tweaks that would be most appreciated.
Cheers for now
Andy

Hey, Keith! Thanks for all the great info. I clicked the link above (for WP Mage), sadly it’s not available at the moment, however there’s a 60-day trial of “Adept Mage” available: would you recommend getting it? If so, would your “Hotsheet” be available? Thanks, I need all the help I can get, as you can see on one of my other blogs: http://www.Big-Beautiful-Women.org :-) )

I was a member of Mage before I noticed this post, would love to know if I could pay for that bonus. The thing I don’t like about WpMage is that by following Greg’s system the content you get on your site is sometimes totally unrelated to the theme of the site. Shame!

Hey Keith! I am using Master WpMage right now, and this does really need some powerful tweaks to fix some of its issues. I would like to know how can I get those tweaks. Thank you.

Keith,

It was great meeting you in person at Amish’s event a couple weeks ago. I own Mage and also was interested in your tweeks. Also I am an Affiliate Pilot Pro member and was curious how these could work together?

Thanks

Hello Keith,

I purchased Mage back in November and it was working really well, but I noticed the traffic to my blogs has been slowly drying up. I was wondering if you have any recommendations on how to improve the traffic for existing blogs. Also looking forward to your new project launch.

Thanks,

Doug

Yes… get more links and better quality ones at that. Also, if you focused on the single category strategy, then expand than into multiple related cats.

Hi Kieth,
I also purchased CP Mage before seeing your blog about it. I am not having great success with the Mage system as it stands and was wondering how to improve on it. Is there any way to obtain your hotsheet with the tweaks needed to improve it?
Regards,
Raymond

Yes, you would have had to purchase the software via my link to get it. This was an incentive for people to buy through me and is exclusive to them.

Not sure how many of you bought the WP Mage… Personally, I bought it and returned it. I’ve been in this game for 8 years now and if I can’t get the blasted thing to work out of the box… how is a newbie going to handle it?

I am sure people are using it and making money with it…. but I would say a tiny percentage.

You will have a better ROI watching Keith’s Stealth Traffic Secret video and implementing it than wp mage. ~ just my opinion.
